The “Wood and Sea” Tourist Apartments

The warmth and efficiency of Duraply plywood in a unique environment

In September 2015, a project began to build a group of tourist apartments located in the village of Isla (Cantabria, Spain).

This ambitious venture consisted of the construction of tourist apartments which would unite the sea, the mountains, wood and high energy efficiency. High performance and a greatly superior construction system were sought from the very beginning, and that is why prefabricated and dry construction techniques were used.

Garnica’s Duraply plywood was the product selected, due to its suitability for this type of construction – the site is close to the coast and is permanently exposed to humidity and extreme temperatures.
